Favela Chic: A Brazilian favela with a Hoxton make over.
A Brazilian favela with a Hoxton make over. Imagine random objects hanging from the ceiling, coupled with wooden boarding covered with graffiti art and a cool mix of skaters, graffers and hip-hop heads, and you have Favela Chic. This popular bar combines the energy of a club with a menu to rival any Brazilian restaurant in London. Expect latin beats with sides of broken beat and hip hop while enjoying feijoada (typical Portugueze/Brazilian dish) or a seafood soup in coconut. Refreshments include the usual cocktails and a decent range of beers. Midweek nights are more relaxed affairs while the weekends draw in the party crowd with music ranging from Brazilian drum’ n’bass to funk.
