Taking up a space alongside the shadow of The White Cube Gallery on Hoxton Square, Bluu bar isn’t attention grabbing like its surrounding neighbours, but once inside it’s the laid back vibe and cosy atmosphere that warm to you. The clientele of after work couples cosy up in sofas under the dim lighting while small groups of friends provide an occasional outburst of laughter and noise. An extensive and varied menu offers drinks of every option, like the non alcoholic Strawberry Cooler; a chilling mix of strawberries, ginger beer and mint. The food is equally as good, sample the popular firecracker chips with salsa sauce. The soothing sounds of jazz and chill out beats make it perfect for catching up with a partner or equally with friends for a quiet night out. The weekends are a different affair, as local DJs take up residency in the basement and play house, techno and hip-hop.
